Information about the Student Card (Studentkortet)

The Student card is a card provided for all university and high school students in Sweden.  The requirement for receiving the student card, with all its discounts, is that you can verify that you are a registered student and maintain 75 % study pace, corresponding to 22.5 points per semester.

If you do not fulfill these requirements you can still receive a card but without travel discounts.

What does the Student Card contain?

The student card is loaded with a huge amount of discounts - everything from travels, computer, clothes and local discounts.  Having a student card is very beneficial since many students have a disadvantageous financial situation. Get the card to gain access discounts and afford buying more stuff today!

Where can I see the discounts?

You can easily find all our discounts at our website www.studentkortet.se under tab “Rabatter” or use the search function after company, brand or product to see if it is in our range. If you have suggestions for local or national discounts, feel free to e-mail kundtjanst@studentkortet.se, good suggestions are rewarded.

How do I order the card?

Since fall 2010 the requirement of being a student association member is abolished and it is no longer a requirement to be a member to receive the Student card. If you belong to a school that has renewed cooperation with us and you choose to pay the student association fee, the Student card will be sent to you automatically.

If you choose not to pay the student association fee you can still order a card for free.  Just call our customer service, which is open on Mon-Tue 13.00-15.00 or Wed-Fri 10.00-12.00. Tel: 08 652 76 00

You can also order a card by sending in a registration certificate per mail or by sending an e-mail at kundtjanst@studentkortet.se.

I have a problem with my card or I am not receiving my card although I’ve ordered it?

If there is any inconvenience you can either call our customer service Mon-Tue 13.00-15.00 or Wed-Fri 10.00-12.00, tel: 08 652 76 00 or e-mail us at kundtjanst@studentkortet.se. E-mails are responded to within 1-3 work days.

How can I get a Student- and SJ- certificate?

If you are a full time student and have perhaps not yet received or lost your Student card, we can help you by issuing two certificates that are valid instantly. 

1.    The first certificate is a “Student Card certificate” that empowers you with the right to use any of our discounts.
2.    The second certificate is the “SJ-certificate” that gives you the right to use travel discounts at SJ without showing the physical card.
